AISearch Pulse Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026

Applies to: the AISearch Pulse Chrome extension ("Pulse") and its licence and payment process. Web address: aisearch.global/pulse/privacy. This is a separate page for Pulse. The AISearch Global website privacy policy at aisearch.global/privacy stays as it is.

Acknowledgement of Country

AISearch Global acknowledges the Dharawal Peoples as the Traditional Custodians of our lands and waterways, and also recognises the Dharug and Gundungurra Nations. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples on these lands.

1. Who we are

Pulse is made by AISearch Global, a business run by Viveka Mohan Das in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean AISearch Global. "You" means the person using Pulse.

2. The short version

3. What we follow

We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

4. What information Pulse handles

What the extension can access

Pulse asks Chrome for only four permissions: activeTab, scripting, storage and alarms. It has no permission to read websites in the background. It reads the site in your current tab only when you click Scan. If you turn on the link check, Pulse fetches pages from that same site only. Pulse does not collect your browsing history.

We use information only to:

We do not use it to build profiles of you, for advertising, or to decide anything about your credit or eligibility for anything.

6. Who we share it with

We share information only with the services Pulse needs to work:

If you add your own Perplexity or Google API key, your questions go directly to that provider under your own account with them.

Perplexity and Google handle what they receive under their own terms and privacy policies. Do not put personal or confidential information in your questions.

We may also share information if the law requires it. We do not sell, rent or trade your information.

7. Information sent overseas

Our server runs on Cloudflare's global network. Each request is handled at the Cloudflare location nearest to you, which may be outside Australia, and Cloudflare's KV storage is global. Information may also be processed in the United States and other countries by Cloudflare, Perplexity, Google, Resend and Stripe. We take reasonable steps to choose services that protect information.

8. How long we keep it

9. Security

Pulse sends information over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Payments are handled by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise information will never be lost or misused. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and, where required, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

10. Automated checks, not decisions about you

Pulse scores web pages using automated checks. It does not make decisions about individuals. Scores are about how a page is set up, not about a person.

11. Chrome Web Store: Limited Use statement

The use of information received by AISearch Pulse will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In practice this means:
